Caldicotts Development

Caldicott’s Farm is a beautiful rural area located in a Lower Dicker.  The site is perfect for those families wanting a quiet rural lifestyle with the added benefit of a contemporary home.

Our plan is to build 3 large contemporary houses, designed by award winning architect Liam Russell, that really incorporate the countryside into their design. With South Facing Gardens, swimming pools and room for horse stables and the like, the designs have a real touch of luxury and class. The Wealden Planning Application Number is WD/2017/1636/FA.

Architects Comments

"A Part Q site, Helix Homes have set about providing a posit to what is sometimes referred to as a ‘flexible approach’ by Wealden; the council encourages the highest quality design in lieu of what is called ‘Part Q’ where conversions of agricultural buildings into housing can lead to sub-standard outcomes in design, layout and so on.

This gives us a thrilling opportunity to pursue something altogether better – better designed, better built and better energy efficiency. The designs are based on Helix Homes approach to the internationally recognised PassivHaus standard for energy conservation, whilst being influenced by rural architectural forms and materials to reflect the beginning of the 21st Century.

Any building that responds to light in a positive way, is truly joyful. The house designs at Caldicotts each respond to the natural characteristics of the site and its east facing aspect bringing the outside into each home and promoting the highest sense of wellbeing for the occupants."
